Default 87 T2 Idle qeustion?
On my T2, it has been sittin for a couple years, i did all the maintainance to it changed all fliuds ect... But once the car is warmed up the car wants to idle around 500rpms and if it dies you have to put the petal to the floor to start it, is it flooding out, do you think the injectors are dirty and sticking? The car blows no smoke and has no problems starting what so ever when it is cold. What should i do?

First, you might want to ck for vac leak, then ck your ACV. If that's all OK, do your idle speed and mixture adjustment.

And, of course, you might want to ck your plugs.

The car has new plugs, where do you adjust the A/F mixture on these cars? This car is confusing the heck out of me! Car also has no Vac leaks, already checked for those. Can ask what the ACV is without getting flamed by others LOL - thanks for your help

ok one more question, i put a new turbo on it because the old one went to hell and was blowing a crap load of oil and smoke throught the exhaust, i was running the car with just the downpipe on and the car never smoked, now when i put hte exhaust back on the smokes quite a bit, do you think there is just a lot of oil built up in the exhaust system from when the other turbo went out, and now its just burning it out of the cat and mufflers? tell me what you think.

Well if your downpipe+ exhaust had lots of oil in it (which it probably did, i know mine did 2when the turbo crapped out) it should take quite a while for it to stop smoking, i have heard up to 2000 miles mines at about 1000 and is still smoking I don't think that is a big problem yet.

Ps - Don't let rotaries sit for long periods of time, they don't like it at all.
