Up for sale is a used R-1 front strut (tower) bar from a Third Generation RX-7 FD3S in Japan. This bar was available as a dealer option on the FD3S and relatively difficult to find. I believe this is already an out-of-production OEM piece.
The Shaft is composed of steel and the ends are Aluminum. The bar is the genuine R-1 unit which features the billow ball and adjustment feature on one side. The Bar also has the oval type design which is much stronger than the circular type bars.
The bar has not been painted and is still has the original paint from the factory. It will work on any year Third Generation (1993 and up) RX-7. This bar will increase chassis rigidness for spirited driving on the road, circuit and drifting, as well as, better the appearance of the engine bay.
There is a little wear and a couple scuffs (but no major dings or scratches) on this tower bar from normal use (please note pictures) and is in overall GREAT used condition and perfect working order.
