trany problem
I just bought a 87 rx7 turbo2. I did a full tune up and changed my trany fluid. my question is when i shift at low rpms it seems to shift fine. When i shift at high rpms it almost doesnt want to go in gear. it grinds and i let the rpms go down then I can shift. what is the best trany fluid? My friend said to use redline trany fluid. anyway if you have some info it would help greatly. thanks

personally i've had nothing but good experiences with lucas fluids. i would try that, but i don't think your fluid is the problem unless there is none, in which case you'll be lucky if that's all that's wrong. how's your clutch?

is the shifting problem with certain gears? some times, at least in my experience, the fc's have syncro problems. i can jam any gear as hard as i want but my second is a big prob. turned out to be the syncros.

also try to see if ur clutch is slipping, go somewhere flat and put it in 3rd gear rev up to around 4k and release to engage clutch if ur rpm goes down ur clutch is fine, but if it stays up that means the clutch is slippin n worn out
