Unhappy 87 RX7 Shifting issues
Okay so I recently bought a 87 rx7 the previous owner replaced the clutch, master and slave cylinders(he had receipts). Anyways when the car either sits with engine off or on, or when driving around it is hard to shift out of 2,4, and reverse. I usually have to play with the shifter a bit to get it out of gear. I can also spin the shifter itself. Does anybody know what this could be? I have researched and everybody is saying bad clutch but it was just recently changed. I feel like it could be shifter bushings. I plan on tearing it apart this weekend, but would like to have parts ready so I can fix it then. Another thing that happened today was, I went in the car started up and put the clutch in but wouldnt go into any gear. I tried with reverse and had to force it but never went in gear it just started grinding. I shut the car off, started it again, pressed the clutch in like 3 times, and it worked just fine. Well it was still hard to shift out of those gears mentioned earlier. If anybody had this problem before or knows how to fix it please comment.
