Swaps
Would it be cheaper to swap a 20b to an FD or an FC? You don't see too many FCs with a 20b swap, so I figure it's not as desireable to most people. But thought I'd ask.

I've seen quite a few FC 20B swap. Trend seem to be FD usually become piston.
I don't believe cost effectiveness factor never enters into ppl who are willing to slap 20B into their rides to a certain degree.

Generally speaking Most FC owners tend to not have the funds to do a complete 20B swap. Meaning the parts & associated labor cost. Further more doing any internal mods would be out of reach. A lot of FD owners who do the swap usually have deeper pockets. Piston swaps are popular for a few reasons (cost & more resources) GM LS V8's can be found fairly cheap & have potent power packages.
Now I have to ask since you are asking which would it be cheaper to do the swap in, do you currently own an RX7? If no the FC will be cheaper to start with. Also remember that good power can be had with the 13B & more cost efficient.

We are all there at some point. I passed up an FD to purchase 2 FC's, to me it was a better investment. I could went the 20B route a couple times, but decided against it in favor of other projects. I will eventually do an FD & maybe it will be powered by a 20B.

FD's have a sexy look to them, but in my opinion the FC is a better built car.
