Default auto to standard trans
i was wondering how hard it is to change an auto 87 rx-7 to a standard trans. and if the electrical on both will interchange. what would i need to get to do it. this is my 2nd rx-7 . i got it 4 300 bucks runs like a champ but trans went on it can any body HELP?

It's time consuming more than anything else. And easier with tranny jack, too.

k thanks i put auto bak init 4 now but im workin on gettn the 5spd stuff 2gether thanx now i no were i stand.

hey man ive done 2 auto to manual on 87's and on both the trans mount and body mounts didnot line up. you're gona have to make special brackets for that swap. and if ur good at electrical u can make the auto harness work. good luck
