Default Hey Everyone! Newb to the site with some Q's for the Pros.
Hey everyone. I currently own a 2001 Toyota MR-S which has been widebodied and has a Hass Stage II Turbo, and am looking for a nice car to drive to work, and to do some drifting with. I originally was going to get an 85 Corolla GT-S, but I have always loved the Rotary and wanted to try something new.

I found an 88' Turbo II for 4,000 it has 155k on it. I know rotaries are tough to mesure life wise, but it seems like a great deal to me. Modding would be simple, exhaust mods, computer, radiator, and whatnot, nothing to major, just enough for some fun drifting and the 10 mile drive to work.

Any input about which car would be better would be great.

Thanks!
Jae

Well your asking, whether to get an 85 corolla(great drift car) Or a TII, on an rx-7 forum! I htink it will be one sided. Corolla's are great little cars i have to admit, but if you can get a TII which looks better, and performs a whole lot better, then why not? The car sounds like its in decent shape. They hld their value fairly well considering they;re 17 years old. But its really up to you!

Okay wait. If you have TONS of cash, i saw a 20b (3-rotor) in an AE86, and it was lie 700hp or soemthing, in a corolla....You do the math, i think 0-60 was 3 seconds. Im so mad, cause i can't find the video. Il find it!

My MR-S is turbo (2200lbs with 300bhp) so I get my kicks from that

The Turbo II will be my fun car

Oooh, i should have guessed by the name. =D Well then the TII sounds awesome, you wouldn't be doing much drifting with a 700hp corolla anyways.. lol

EDIT- You might have to right click where it says "insane 20b in AE86" and click "save target as.." As running it on the webpage didn't work. Enjoy!
