would you both say that u would prefer Haltechs to FC Commanders? or does anyone out there tried both and have a preference?

Haltech is pretty serious EMS. I know quite a few with it.

If you're just planning on fuel modification, FC com will just be great.

The Power FC is a fine unit to use. I do prefer the Haltech or Mircotech Units over the Power FC though. They are not that bad in price & have many functions for control. The unit in itself is just part of the equation. Without a good tuner or someone familiar with the unit it's not going to help. There are a few nice units out there like the HKS Fcon V that you may have a hard time finding tuners that have the software to tune & then there is the all mighty Motec units which are top of the line, but the price is up & tuners are not everywhere.
