Default Coolant Sensor
My coolant alarm keeps going off. Once my 1990 RX-7 gets warmed up, it begins; first intermittently; then after 15 minutes of driving, it stays on. I searched thru several MAZDA discussion sites and the first thing recommended was to change the thermostat. That did not solve the problem.

I sent the car to the local Mazda expert, Advanced Racing Technologies. They had the car for three days and checked everything, flushed the system, tightened belts and checked the water pump. The tech took the car for a ½ hour drive and said the alarm never sounded. Within 5 minutes of me taking the car, the alarm was sounding. I searched the Mazda discussion sites again and it was suggested to ground the alarm wire to shut it off. That worked. It stopped the alarm, which to me reveals that the wiring from the sensor to the alarm was good. Has to be the SENSOR. I bought a NEW OEM sensor from the local Mazda dealer. It did not solve the problem.

I need help on this one. The car is in wonderful condition but the alarm drives me nuts.
If someone knows what the next step is, please email me @ [email protected]
Thanks
