Default starting and running problems
Hey guys, new to the forum so i'll give you background on the car before my issue. Car is an 88 rx7 turbo II 10th anniversary. it has just under 138,000 kms on it (86,250 miles). It also has HKS PFC Fcon ecu, HKS up pipe with BOV, HKS turbo timer, HKS FCD, and manual boost controller. My issue is the car floods basically every time I turn it off and let it sit for a small amount of time. If I try and fire the car up immediatly after shut down it starts and runs. Every so often I have been able to get it to start after a couple attempts of cranking it and it runs absolutely perfect, but if the car starts as it should first try it idles high with a slight miss and has a miss higher in the rpm range at WOT. I'm assuming the higher rpm miss is the ecu ground but the rest i'm unsure. The flooding thing is my main concern. Every time i shut it off and let it sit i don't want to have to pull plugs and dump atf in it and so on. Car also has brand new plugs and i just changed the coolant temperature sensor. Thanks in advance for any of your input to a new member! looking forward to tapping into all the knowledge on here with this being my first rotary car.
