91 RX7 for Drift
Hey Guys,
Just wondering if a 91 would be a good choice for drift? Would a 20B engine be a good choice?
I appreciate any tips I can get.
Many Thanx.

A second gen rx7 is a very good car for drifting I have 2 88 rx7s my self and I love drift them it pritty much my biggest love in life. you dont really need to go to a 20b unless you realy wanted to, you can get ALOT of power out of a 13b. im puting a large street ported 13b na in my white rx7 this weekend and i should be some were in the mid to low 200s with that. just make sure you get a good lsd and set it up for drifting, and keep it on the track.

Of course the FC is a good choice for a drift vehicle & no a 20B is not needed. Like above a decently ported 13B Na can provide enough power to get you where you need to be.

The fc's are awesome for drifting. Just be sure you change out the stock plastic radiator for an aluminum radiator so you don't have to worry about it over heating.

definetly drifting makes ur engine heat up faster sins your going sideways you dont get as much air flow over the rad so you get hotter. if your going to be doing some hard core drifting stock shit just wount cut it I would upgrade as much as you can!

also true the the rear steer can make the car unperdictable during drifting I would go with poliyurithane or metal bushings all around to make sure every thing isnt moving around.it will make the car more predictable I would also toe out the rear wheels

I've decided to sell my 1991 red RX7 convertible after enjoying it for a couple of years. Now have a company car and don't need to pay the extra insurance. Do they drift convertibles after installing roll-bars? Just curious. Anybody interested in buying my nice car for $2500 please give me a call (941) 545-3600

I agree that just make sure you get a good lsd and set it up for drifting, and keep it on the track.
