I going to assume that you are trying to describe a loping idle like a big cam piston engine, by the bum bum bum. Most would think of this as a brap brap brap.
Have you looked for vacuum leaks? Is the idle bouncing around? Does the idle return to normal after running for few minutes? is this happening after long rides?
