It's highly probable that your coolant is is seeping out from somewhere or the sensor is bad. I doubt the latter. Do you smell coolant inside the car? Ck and see inlet and outlet on a firewall is ok. Also carefully look at around the neck of t-stat (mostly back of it...)

And, if you don't have any seepage anywhere whatsoever you may have air in the cooling system.
