My brother's 85 was doing the same thing. Did a compression test and the rear rotor was 0-0-30 and the front rotor was 40-40-40. Needless to say, we are looking for a replacement motor.
Could also be fuel pump, air ratio or a few other things but a good place to start is with a compression test.
