Power to coil but no spark
 

Hello everyone. Im new to this forum and sort of need help asap. I just bought an 83 rx-7 gsl. I pICked it up for cheap because the previous owner could not get it running. upon a basic inspection i found that there was plenty of fuel. but no spark! so i tested for power with the key in run to the coils.. there is power there. then i tested for a ground on the other side of the coil during crank and no luck. wht would cause this? condensor? im stumped! thanks:confused:

Are you saying that there is power running to the coils, but nothing to the plugs? Have you tried replacing the coils?
