ok, so I have been fighting with this car for about two months and I am getting real frustrated. its a 87 non-turbo with headers and aftermarket intake. the idle problem was there before install of these parts. now when car is cold it revs up to about 3500 and then dies, but when it is warm it surges between 2000 and 3000 rpms. I have replaced all the vacuum lines and I still have this problem. I was thinking that it was the maf so I tested it with my digital ohm meter. almost everything seems fine, when I test the IAT in the maf I get a random number(583,902,423) for a split second then it goes to zero(if this is hard to understand let me know and I will try to explain it better). now is it supposed to do that or has it gone bad. also I went to team fc3s web site and got their plans to build a code cheker. I followed everthing they said to do. According to the code checker there is nothing electrically wrong with my car. I was told that it could also be the egr valve. can I just remove it or does it have to be there(will it effect performance)?

I would really appreciate any thoughts or profesional help(for my head lol) cuz this car is making me insane. thanx also I am new to this rotary stuff.

You intalled performance parts on a car that does not run properly??

First step, remove as many of the parts you put on there as possible, then troubleshoot.

What vacume are you seeing when the car starts? Its still possible that you are seeing a large vacume leak. Also have a look at the grounds.
