Can anyone tell me what these are and what is it connected to. I notice this on installation of tranny after clutch job. Also what is the torque spec for the tranny bolt to engine? http://home.comcast.net/~highspeedspecialist/DSC00062.JPG

That's tell you what kind of tranny that is.

Torque is between 290 to 360. (lbs)

And the connector is neutral indicator and you'll see the similar on the opposit side. Them are rev and 5th indicator.

Ok so the first pic is what? All I see is the black thing going to a plug (do i have to ground that or just leave it hanging). Also the second pic is a connector but I don't know where is it connected to. I don't think it ever was connected. So torque is 290 to 360 foot pounds for a 5 speed transmission to the block? Wow! The reason I say this is because some how the damn bolts stripped and I was just using my craftsman 3/8 rachcet without a cheater bar. Anyways just to play it safe do you have a diagram of which lenght screws go where on the trannny? I sorth of didn't pay too much attention and don't want anymore mishap with the threads. Thanks alot for answering!

are you sure about 290 ?? Thats a shitload of torque. heads on cars dont take more than 100, and they need to be supper tight.

The first one looks to me like tranny id. Which means your tranny hasn't been serviced since coming out of the factory.

And the second pic is neutral indicator/sensor...if you post a larger view (surrounding area) I can tell you for sure.

Yes, even manual transmission have neutral and 5th & rev sensor.

As to the bolt on tag is concerned...I don't know what else to tell you.

Picture # 1 is bolted to the transmissions housing right underneath the driver's side of the slave cylinder. I don't remember exactly what it is though, sorry.

I can't see where it even is in pic #2

And yes the flywheel nut is torqued to 300 ft-lbs
