I am new to this and I have a 87 TII.I was driving it down the road and all of a sudden it cut off so i try to start it and it finally starts and idles at like 500-600rpms and vibrate really bad.Now it will just crank and act like it wants to start but it wont.
Any suggestions will be great? :?

Sounds like a weak battery or crappy spark. Check your voltages and maybe replace your alternator with one from an FD

Is it possible that he blew the main seal. My father blew the seal on his 86'. The car vibrated and the rpms dropped extremly low. Couldnt drive the car past 50mph after that.
If thats the case, the whole motor has to come out just to replace that seal.

If its the rear main seal just the transmission does, and front main seal then just the fan shroud and pulley assembly does.
Hopefully for you, its your alternator
