I've always been interested in the novelty of rotary engines. The other
day I had an itch to see if I could find any reasonably priced used RX-7's.
I found one.... it's an '87 TurboII. It supposedly runs 12's. Only 500 miles
on it [supposedly (must be re-built)]. Anyways it's only $3,990.

Edit: Fixed the damn long link. - austex

PostEdit: Thanx had no clue how to do it....

that's pretty much what I've been thinking... just wasn't sure, I've heard people say that they're a pain in up-keep costs... but, then, other people say that those people are jackasses..... so... I think I'm gonna buy it though. :)

BTW, did you check out the link??

1. Drive it first
2. Get it compression tested. All rotor faces, or just look for anything about 100 on a fll compression test.
3. It has a series 5 body style, so it was either put on their afterwards or it isn't an 87.
4. Any raced Transmission/clutch may very well need to be replaced. Tranny rebuilds aren't cheap but they aren't that bad either, just make sure you'd have the money.
5. Have him show you the papers for the rebuild, otherwise it wasn't rebuilt.
6. Next time when you post the link give it a name so it doesn't mess up the margins

U can sort of tell it was replaced. Its SHINNY compared to the rest of the car. When checking out a Galant vr4. The owner had put in a new shiny tranny. I thought to myself, Let’s take this car and RUN RUN RUN....

I’d like to buy a FC because they aren’t too bad looking…hehehehe

Neh, buy a new clutch and pressure plate from ACT, resurface your flywheel and you're in business. done yourself the price tag is under 500.

I'm doing it to hold more power, not to replace a worn clutch. Although I'm replacing the clutch for fun anyway. Total cost for me is 325..

But how long has the wait been on getting your wheel back?

Anyone know a good place to find one... I've been checking eBay, AutoTrader.com, carsoup.com.... I'm running out of resources. I guess I could find some on those sites, just kinda outta my budget. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Try on rx7 forums, and autotrader worked well enough for me. Just check it relgiously.

and when I said rx7 forums I didn't just mean this site specifically. I meant try posting in a lot of different rx7 forums in the sales sections.
