83 rx7 headlight issue

i have an 83 rx7 the headlights will come up when u turn them on but when u turn them off the lights go out but they don't go back down is it a wireing issue or a motor problem.

This is going to sound stupid, but make sure the rocker switch on the center panel right above the shifter boot isn't clicked "on"....it operates just the motors for the headlamp buckets. If it's on, they will never go down.

You got a wiring problem.
