POWERLOVER

I am selling my baby. I have had the car for over three years now. I saved it from the crusher out of a salvage yard. I got it with no motor or transmission in really really rough condition. Pics of the origional condition can be seen here http://www.home.earthlink.net/~jnrwacker/RX7stuff/
I started out with a carbed SBC 2004r setup. The transmission has been modified with a shift kit, lightened governor springs, and to shift into 4th gear (OD) at wide-open-throttle. I had alot problems with the carbed setup. The whole time i was thinking that it was carb problems. I spent hundreds...no...thousands of dollars troubleshooting it. Finally, i ditched the carb for the TPI setup off of a Vette. Once i had the fuel injection up and running i realized that it was my distributor giving me the problems the whole time......anyway. I polished the TPI setup, and have a custom tune on the ECU for my cam. My cam doesnt really have a matched powerband for the TPI, but the TPI has been ported and siamesed to help get the powerband up in the RPM range of the cam and little better. It is NOT a roller cam like the TPI motors came with. It is a Hyd. Flat Tappet. A smaller cam designed for a TPI would actually make TONS more power than this cam does.
I did the entire swap myself. Including the paint, building the motor, building the transmission, and the mounts that hold it all together. The only thing that i would like to do differently, would be to use 2.5" exaust instead of 2", and mount the mufflers in the stock rear location instead of under the middle of the car.
The color of the car is a SVT Mustang color. I mixed some red pearl in the first few coats of clear to give it that "blurple" effect. The hood is aluminum, and the bulge in the middle of it is from a Mitsubishi Eclipse.
The nitrous kit is a NOS brand wet kit...150 shot. I love the power the nitrous gives the car, but it kind of makes first gear useless....except for big smokey burnouts.
I took the car to the track on June 24th and ran a best time of 12.59 @ 109.xx mph. That was really taking it easy out of the hole then spraying just before second gear. The car could be a high 11 second car easily with drag radials. And even faster than that with a different cam and a tune to match it in the ECU.
I drove the car to work daily for over two years. The only reason i quit was the fact that i now hae a 35+ mile commute to work, and cannot afford the gas. I have taken the car on SEVERAL long road trips, and it has never let me down. It is a great car to drive. The handeling that the Rx7 provides matched with the torque that the SBC provides is a great combo.
The suspension is bone stock...and needs upgrading, but the car still handles great.
I have had the car i na few car shows, and it has won awards. But there is one thing for sure....it is an attention getter. There have been many many people walk past the car thinking that it is "just another Rx7" but they cant keep walking when they see under the hood. It attracts a crowd no matter where it is.
There is really too much done to this car to mention in one thread, and it is nowhere near perfect, but if you have any questions feel free to ask.
I have well over $13,000 invested in this car. I understand that i will never ever ever sell it for that much, but i would like to keep my losses to a minimum. I would like to get $8,000.00 O.B.O. I will take serious offers.
I would also be interested in trading for a small truck. Depending on the condition/value of the truck i will also accept cash along with vehicle if it is older or in not too good of condition.
