With an N/A I don't think it was ever really a contest between you and your friend. A 240 will not fit direct bolt on. With that said I do not believe it will fit in any which way without heavy replacements. Look online for upgraded rx7 rear ends.

It's his driving then, his car should be able to smoke yours. Unless he is N/A which would be more than a little odd to me

Its impossible for him to loose to you..... impossible, the worst driver would be able to rape you, especialy with no lag on something like TT setup... so I think you are talking shit...

I didnt mean to sound like a dick, but unless you are turboed with some moderate mods, you shouldnt even be able to touch him... O and about the rear end, there are fcs that came with lsd, non turbos had clutch, and the turbos has viscous, trust me the n/a rear end is good enough and alot better than most out there, now when you get into the turbo rear end, it doesnt get much better.

Sounding like a dick is fine, as long as it's the truth. On this one I'd have to go with rotor, unless this guy's car is auto and he has a blown torque converter

The guts (spider gears) should fit
Hey I put a limited slip out of an 85 in my 80 and it works great. I also has the disc brakes so now 4 wheel disc. The only mod was the input yoke and the driveline end plate. There is an issue about the later and earlier 85 rears in that they changed the brakes and rotors to a bigger one later in the year. Sure like the limited slip, it goes really good in the snow.
